This prestigious event, which runs for several months from December to March, attracts tourists and brings together truffle enthusiasts and curious visitors eager to unravel all the mysteries of this culinary delicacy.

Since Roman times, this precious truffle has thrived on the limestone soils of Uzège, in the south of France, from mid-November to mid-March. In January, the town ofUzès, 40 minutes from Nîmes, takes on the title of black truffle capital and promotes it. The black diamond is honored for a new edition every year during the Truffle Weekend, which takes place in mid-January. Since 1994, it has become a must-attend event in theUzès region.

Uzès celebrates the black jewel of the region with a series of events and activities dedicated to the black winter truffle, known by its scientific name tuber melanosporum. Events, activities, tours, farmers' market, meals on the Place aux Herbes, a weekend dedicated to truffles, reservations for truffle dishes in Uzès restaurants, a night in the Boutique Hôtel Entraigues or in a guest house, news to follow... Program for Truffle Weekend 2026 in Uzès

This year, Truffle Weekend will take place from Friday, January 16 to Sunday, January 18, 2026. During this period, the entire townUzès with truffle tours and tastings. The Agricultural Promotion Committee organizes numerous activities during this event. Some of these activities require reservations. To follow the committee's news, visit this page.

Busy that weekend? Black truffles await you from December to March! Truffle specialties and dedicated events are on the program.
And for those with a sweet tooth, truffles are also available at the Uzès marketevery Wednesday and Saturday, with the Cabane à Truffes at Place aux Herbes.

Dates and prices to come

A special occasion for wine lovers, organized by the Syndicat des Vignerons du Duché d'Uzès, where the Vignerons du Duché d'Uzès present and taste their AOP Duché d'Uzès wines. A Gala evening to discover the new vintage, always accompanied by truffle dishes.

As part of the truffle season, the Destination Pays d'Uzès - Pont du Gard Tourist Office is offering 2-hour guided tours punctuated by truffle tastings. Start with a guided exploration ofUzès to understand the importance and presence of the black diamond in the history of this ducal city. Then, tantalize your taste buds with a tasting session featuring truffle amuse-bouches concocted by a talented chef and accompanied by a selection of AOP Duché d'Uzès wines. Follow the guide for a gourmet and enriching experience!

At the Loggia restaurant, create a starter and main course using truffles from Les TruffièresUzès chef Nathan Henck guiding you.

A gala evening where Michelin-starred chefs from the Gard region showcase their expertise by combining black truffles with exceptional local produce. A 100% truffle gastronomic feast for gourmets.

The ultimate convivial event! The Soirée Bodega is a time to gather under the big top to savor truffle-flavored dishes accompanied by wines from the Vignerons du Duché d'Uzès. A treat for the taste buds and for the spirits!

Come and meet the truffle growers of the Gard on the Place aux Herbes. Truffle inspections, retail sales, technical information, demonstrations of truffle hunting with dogs and pigs, truffle catering in the town's restaurants, tastings of truffle products and AOP Duché d'Uzès wines from producers.

During this special weekend, even the mass celebrates the black diamond! First the truffles are blessed, then an auction is organized to benefit the parish. All this takes place in the magnificent Cathédrale Saint-Théodorit d'Uzès.

Sunday, January 18 at 10:30 a.m. inUzès Cathedral.

Followed by the auction of blessed truffles at 11:40 a.m.

What better way to round off a weekend celebrating truffles than with a truffle-flavored meal? The Comité de Promotion Agricole d'Uzès offers a 100% truffle menu, accompanied by a glass of AOP Duché d'Uzès wine.
