An exclusive artistic collaboration: Groupe F and Robert Combas
This summer, dive into the magic of the special illumination of the Pont du Gard with "Contre-temps", an artistic creation by the renowned Groupe F (designer and producer of open-air pyrotechnic shows and theatrical works). This unique experience is an artistic interpretation of the natural daytime and nighttime variations of light on the Pont du Gard. Let yourself be carried away by this fiction that explores the Earth's rotation and its impacts on natural light, creating striking visual effects.
This year, Groupe F, world-renowned for its pyrotechnic shows, has teamed up with artist Robert Combas, a leading figure of Figuration Libre. As night falls, the world's tallest Roman bridge transforms into a giant 275-meter-long screen.
Combas's vibrant, colorful, and dynamic universe springs to life across the ancient arches through monumental visual projections and a custom musical score. A captivating visual and auditory journey bridging historical heritage and contemporary art.
Bonus: Christophe Berthonneau's poetic lighting design
As a complement to the show, extend the magic with the lighting display of the Pont du Gard orchestrated by Christophe Berthonneau.
