Located on the iconic, shaded Place aux Herbes in the town center, the bi-weekly market in Uzès is quite simply the largest in the Occitanie region. It takes place on Wednesday (local producers) and Saturday mornings (large Provençal market). It hosts up to 200 exhibitors on Saturdays. Stalls overflow with local produce: fruits, vegetables, wines, olives, cheeses, Cévennes sweet onions, truffles, asparagus, pélardons, gariguette strawberries, cured meats, flowers, soaps, and more. Enough to awaken your senses and whet your appetite.
2/ Restaurants in Uzès

8/ Tree-top adventure around Uzès
Just outside of Uzès, in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, enjoy tree climbing at Air de Nature. Nestled in a former sand quarry, this 3.5-hectare park offers around ten courses and hundreds of workshops with ziplines. You can even take a 17-meter freefall leap (fully secured, of course) and try your hand at archery.
9/ Golf in Uzès
Fancy a green and swing break during your stay in Uzès? Head over to the local golf club course. Open all year round, this gently undulating 9-hole course (par 36) will appeal to golfers of all levels. 10/ Go canoeing and enjoy the Pont-du-Gard
Although not located directly in Uzès, a visit to the ducal city is simply incomplete without seeing the legendary Pont du Gard. Situated in the commune of Vers-Pont-du-Gard, 15 km from Uzès, this famous Roman-built aqueduct from the 1st century AD has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985.
Numerous activities take place here. On the Gardon river, you can naturally enjoy canoeing. Not to mention other water sports such as canyoning and paddleboarding (most often departing from Collias). A swimming area is even arranged for children at the foot of the Pont du Gard.
In July and August, enjoy a sound and light show: the famous illuminations of the Pont du Gard. Finally, you can also hike the "Memories of Garrigue" trail (1.4 km) around the bridge.

Built in 1972, this equestrian sanctuary features two stables with over 70 boxes, outdoor arenas, and a covered riding hall. Among its core missions is training professionals for the equine industry. The site also hosts events throughout the year (breeding, show jumping, eventing, carriage driving, horseball, endurance, shows, etc.).
14/ Georges Borias Museum
Housed in the former 17th-century bishop's palace, this museum is dedicated to local craftsmanship (pottery, Uzès cabinetry, etc.), history, and archaeology. Since 1988, it has been named after Georges Borias, an artist and teacher who took over and enriched the institution starting in 1946. Note that an entire room is dedicated to the writer André Gide, whose family originated from Uzès. Temporary exhibitions are also regularly hosted here.

Every year since 2022, Uzès Exposition has hosted a multi-month temporary exhibition featuring paintings and sculptures from various private collections. This cultural event takes place in the former bishop's palace of Uzès. Guided tours are organized throughout the duration of the event.
