Christine Morin's exhibition in Uzès

Christine Morin, a multidisciplinary artist based in Nantes, will present her new exhibition at Boutique Hôtel Entraigues on Friday, March 27, 2026. Christine Morin and her journey between abstraction and materiality

The painter and visual artist was born in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region of France, then moved to Nantes in her youth to pursue a comprehensive education in applied arts and fine arts. She then traveled, making a long detour through Africa, where she drew inspiration for an infinite palette of colors and a unique sensibility. Her work reflects this journey through her paintings, embroideries, and installations, which have been exhibited in French and European art galleries (Paris, Lille, London, Antwerp, etc.).

When you encounter her works, prepare to forget in order to remember better. Let yourself be carried away by abstraction, which awakens in each of us impressions of buried moments. Each of Christine Morin's canvases is an active space where the material becomes a "membrane," a second skin on which the real and the invisible take shape. Among Christine Morin's notable exhibitions is one that took place in Lorient in 2023, entitled "L'horizon nous regarde" (The Horizon Looks at Us). She invited her audience to question the notion of the horizon, both as a boundary and an opening, through paintings and embroidery. These works, described by some as balanced "on the edge of instability," invite a contemplative experience of the ephemeral and timeless, material and invisible world. 

The strength of her work lies in her rich color palette and free brushstrokes, which create evocative atmospheres in her paintings. Her embroidery and immersive spaces also allow viewers to fully experience her world with all their senses.
