The Uzès-Pont du Gard area also boasts a number of cycle routes, mountain bike trails, a greenway and the Via Rhôna. The Entraigues boutique hotel has been awarded the 'ACCUEIL VELO' label.

Swimming and canoeing
HEATWAVE WARNING: Where are the best swimming spots?
The Gardon Gorges are an excellent swimming spot appreciated by families! Follow the D979 departmental road, pass the Saint Nicolas de Campagnac bridge and turn first left or continue and stop where you want near the beautiful village of Collias, 15 minutes from Uzès.
Along the Gorges you will find canoe-kayak rental companies and places to have a dip!
The first beaches of Montpellier or the Camargue are 1 hour's drive away. Some are served by public transport from Uzès
Take a hot air balloon ride and enjoy an aerial view of the scrubland and the villages surrounding the first ducal city in France...
Once the balloon is inflated, rise up from the ground for a 1-hour flight, then gradually fly over the rooftops of Uzès, until you can identify the ringroad around the city, and admire the Duchy and its lofty towers, nestling in the middle!
The view is breathtaking and the ride is well worth the effort, as it’s so unusual to float in the air and let your thoughts soar as you fly.
