In the historic heart of the city, this superb contemporary building houses many collections of Roman heritage architecture representative of the life of yesteryear. The Museum is crossed by the remains of the Roman ramparts and is designed as the gateway to an urban journey. Its external appearance represents a mosaic in the form of a Roman toga. It is a building designed and created by the Franco-Brazilian architect Elizabeth de Portzamparc.
